Suddenly, the man noticed a little boy on the beach, picking up small fish from a shallow depression and throwing them back into the sea. The man couldn’t help walking over to him. “Boy, there are hundreds and thousands of small fish in this puddle. You can’t save them.”“I know.” The little boy answered without turning his head.“Oh? So why are you still throwing it? Who cares?”“This little fish cares!” The boy answered, picking up a fish and throwing it back into the sea.
A survivor of a Nazi concentration camp became the principal of a high school in the United States. Every time a new teacher came to the school, he would send a letter to the teacher. The letter said, “Dear teacher, I personally saw the situation that human beings should not see: gas chambers were built by engineers with expertise; children were poisoned by knowledgeable doctors; children were poisoned by trained nurses.” Killing. Seeing all this, I wonder: What is the purpose of education? My request is: Please help students grow into human beings.
